The Meaning of POSTERCHILD
“Were you ever made to not feel good enough at any point in your life? Well, this song is about how some people, for whatever fucked up egotistical, sadistic reasons, get all of the glory in life without deserving an ounce of it and you are made, purposely to feel like shit. And you look from the outside in, and wonder, how in the hell am I so fucked up and shitty, while some undeserving asshole gets ahead for being exactly that, an asshole. I will admit now, that glory and acknowledgement are not what I am out to seek in life--but it was an itch at the time of this song, I was reminiscing of the good ole’ days of feeling less than everyone else. Now, it’s not something that I feel very often, but it takes time to work through it all. There are a lot of fuckers in the world. It’s crucial to create your safe-haven in life--those you love and love you back. The real ones. You know who they are...
Side Note: Pictured with me is my bulldog, Edgar. I love him so much! He is the sweetest little guy. He’s sort of my posterchild. :)
