The Meaning of PRETEND
Pretend was written when I once performed the following:
Suppressed my sexuality for someone else’s pleasure.
Denied myself pleasure.
Did things for others that I didn’t want to do, but felt obligated because of the potential threat to the relationship.
Was a victim.
Hated being a woman. Resented men.
Sacrificed my self-worth and confidence as a woman and surrendered it to please someone else.
Basically, I felt like many parts of me had died .
I do not practice any of the above “features” anymore. I found a new relationship where it’s a near perfect balance--though, it is swayed way more in my favor. (I highly recommend this type of relationship). I am still working on the pleasing part, because I enjoy giving to others, I just pick the ones who are worthy of it, because now I am now a rug that bites back. :) Hard.
